The Crossroads Discipleship Training School (CDTS) is especially designed for people 25 years and older who are at a Crossroads in life and are seeking spiritual renewal, vision, and/or new direction. YWAMs Discipleship Training Schools (including CDTS) are the gateway to partnering with all that happens within YWAM. It's a unique opportunity to know God more intimately, to increase in Godly character, and to become involved in missions. The CDTS course includes a 12-week lecture phase followed by an 8-week field assignment (outreach).
Families are welcome! YWAM Salem provides a school called, Children Of Destiny (COD) for children ages 4 years through 17 years. The school is designed to encourage spiritual growth of the children and prepare them for outreach. Each week they will be taught subjects similar to their parents, yet age appropriate. Parents will need to arrange for a nanny to care for children under the age of 4.Lecture Phase:You will hear from internationally renowned speakers whose objective is not just to fill your head with information, but rather encourage you in your daily walk with God. CDTS students receive teaching in the following areas: Hearing the Voice of God, The Father Heart of God, The Nature and Character of God, Forgiveness, Spiritual Warfare, Worship, Cross-Cultural Missions, etc.
During the week, students meet in small groups, have one-on-one time with the school staff, and perform acts of service (AOS) in various areas on campus. YWAM Salem has a mid-week chapel service known as The Rising that staff, students and children attend together. We also have times of worship and intercession together every morning before class begins.
Outreach Phase:The 8-week outreach to the nations immediately follows the lecture phase training time. It is designed to provide students with opportunities to use their professional abilities, talents, and spiritual gifts as they live and minister in cross-cultural settings. The outreach is adapted to mature students and those with families. The field assignment is a required part of the course, and applicants should be prepared to complete both the lecture and outreach phases of the school in order to be accepted into the CDTS program at YWAM Salem.Recent CDTS outreaches have ministered in: Philippines, India, Mexico, and Thailand.
