Youth With A Mission is an interdenominational movement of Christians working to help
make a difference in a needy world. Founded in 1960, it is now one of the largest
interdenominational and international Christian ministries, with over 16,000 volunteer
staff (and thousands more affiliated workers) based in over 1,000 locations in over 175
countries. We believe the gospel of Jesus is not just words, but also actions.
If you love Niko, using experiential learning in the outdoors, we’d love to have you spend
the summer with us. You’ll be challenged to:
Learn more about Youth With A Mission and our missions opportunities
Teach on values of leadership, surrender, teamwork and servanthood
Lead small groups and one-on-one facilitation
Ropes course hard and soft skill training
Sharpen your outdoor skills
Discover intimacy with God through His creation
Life skills application of leadership
Gain experience working with internationals
Here’s what you will need to bring:
Love of the outdoors
Current CPR certification
6-9 week commitment (we can work with this if change is necessary)
Creativity
Heart to serve
Willingness to work long hours
Basic outdoor gear including: sleeping bag and pad, back pack and day pack, boots, rain gear
(jacket and pants)
Cost $350 per month (includes lodging, meals, training, nikos…) you’ll need extra money for
personal needs
Niko Salem Mission Statement:
Providing wilderness opportunities to challenge participants to a
deeper relationship with
God
and experience his heart for the nations. We seek to develop leadership
potential in youth, local, national and international leaders. Niko Salem is a launch site that provides
development and multiplication of Niko nationally and internationally.
