Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages

Overview:
The Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages certification is a one month course, which aims to graduate students who are confident and equipped to teach English; to international students in the United States or over seas.  Attention is given to the development of biblical principals for life and language teaching, linguistics, second language acquisition, learning styles, classroom management, and lesson plan development.
Instruction takes place in small groups and classroom settings using activities, discussions and in class practicum experience.
Students will receive 4 credits from the U of N, a U of N certificate and a letter of recommendation. Living in community is part of what makes YWAM unique.
