Connect With your References & Pay your Application Fee

ywamer applying for staff - by christin-hume

Staff applicants must have 3 references from: a spiritual mentor/employer, a YWAM leader/base director (we recommend you use your most recent YWAM DTS or U of N School Leader as one of your references), and a friend. You will specify the name and email of those people in your application and we will automatically send them the form through email. Your part is to let the person know you’re asking them to fill something out!

STAFFING DETAILS

After you've applied for staff this is what you can expect from us!

Join the Vision

The vision of our base/campus is to train, inspire, and equip people who will go out to love, inspire, and transform the world. We do so with three primary focuses:

  1. Train people to become frontline missionaries to be sent out long-term to the nations.
  2. Inspire people to get involved locally with our ministries in Salem.
  3. Equip incoming DTS students to go to the nations. We also have secondary schools provided as an option for out staff to take to continue their own personal equipping journey.

We have a diverse set of departments to hopefully align with your desires and skills, and possibly even help you grow in other areas. We will try our best to match your desires to a place of need on the campus.

Here are some areas of service:

  • Kitchen
  • Worship Team
  • Intercession Team
  • Maintenance/Grounds
  • DTS and Secondary School Staff
  • City Ministry (i.e. Evangelism, Refugee, International Student outreach, counseling)
  • Creative Marketing
  • Student Communications and Recruitment
  • Cafe Barista
  • Hospitality
  • Youth Camp Ministry (Mission Adventures)
  • Ropes Course
  • Network and IT
  • Administration
  • Accounting

Here at YWAM Salem we ask staff to make a 2 year commitment. We have found that this is a good amount of time for a person to be able to find their place in the community, as well as grow in the role(s) that they are serving in. By committing to our campus you are committing to our work week, but also to community events and times of celebration for our YWAM family too!

When it comes to raising support we believe that the Lord desires for our needs to be provided for, for us to live a life of generosity, and to be able to be sustained for the life He has called us to. To accomplish this you will meet with our HR department BEFORE coming to create a Vision Driven Budget that will essentially cast vision to your mission focused goals!

Your goal will be to raise half of the agreed upon amount BEFORE arriving at YWAM Salem.

Once you have been accepted as staff at YWAM Salem, feel free to ask the Personnel representative about housing at personnel@ywamsalem.org. There is limited housing and you will be placed in a house according to availability and need. Housing is not guaranteed and/or permanent. All the houses belong to YWAM Salem, it is important that we steward the property for the future generations. The Housing Department will do their best to house each single, couple, or family into a house while looking out for the best interest of the entire campus. If you have specifics that you wish to have for your living space, there are many neighborhoods and affordable apartments surrounding the campus.

The housing on campus comes with appliances and is furnished with essentials (bed frames, mattresses, couch, table, and some basic kitchen utensils). If you would like anything different than this you are free to provide this. Most of the housing on campus is a shared space. Families, couples, and all singles will have to share a kitchen and living room space.
