Doing a DTS will equip you with passion and practical skills to live and serve in whichever area of society God has called you to.

*Note: These dates include arrival day through the date of graduation.

In total the DTS lasts almost 6 months. The training phase is 12 weeks in Oregon, and the outreach phase will be 10 weeks in another country. The program ends with a 1 week debrief back at the YWAM Salem campus. 

DTS costs $5995 plus plane tickets* overseas, which we estimate to be about $2000 (so thats about $8000 for the WHOLE 6 months)

This pricing includes all lodging, meals, and school materials for the entire 6-month program! 

To do a DTS you must be at least 17 years old and have a high school education. Some of our students are freshly graduated from high school or college. Some have been in the workplace for years. The diversity in student backgrounds makes the program wonderful!

A $500 *refundable deposit is due at least a month before the school start date. Starting Week 1, at least $600 dollars will be due every Monday until fees are paid off.

Can I discover the purpose God has for me?

YES! God has incredible purposes and plans for YOUR life. His desire is for you to ultimately know Him and grow in relationship. The first step in discovery is always abiding in Him, and from there your purpose can flourish! 

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

John 15:4-5

Can I hear the voice of God?

Yes! God constantly speaks and wants to talk with you. Growing in relationship with him will ultimately lead to a greater understanding of his voice in your life. He is a relational God, and the more we spend time with Him, the more we are familiar with how he speaks to us! 

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

John 10:27

How do I discover my identity?

Understanding that you are first CHOSEN by the Father is key! Once you know that you belong and are so deeply loved by Him you are able to understand your true identity. 

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

1 Peter 2:9

For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Why does God want me to go to the nations?

God LOVES the world - every nation, every tongue. His heart is that everyone would understand how beloved they are and be able to walk in their true identity as a son or daughter. He loves diversity and the gifts of each ethnicity and country because he CREATED them and we ALL serve a very important role in the Kingdom. 

For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit.
