Looking for a YWAM School about counseling tools and inner healing? The Foundations for Counseling Ministries (FCM) course is a great option.

What is the FCM? Foundations for Counseling Ministry School (FCM) is a first level counseling course to learn the basic skills of active listening, belief systems, hearing the voice of God. We see the connection of how beliefs impact our behaviors. We look at the roots of rejection and rebellion (Plumbline), family systems, attachment and bonding through developmental stages, trauma, human sexuality, and a variety of other counseling topics. All this is covered in a 12-week lecture phase at YWAM Salem in Oregon. You'll have the option to attend an 8-week outreach following the course led by FCM staff.

The purpose of the school is to receive foundational counseling training. During this, each student will be able to process their own life journey’s through their assignments, one-on-ones and small groups.

"FCM was an incredible time of breaking down walls that were keeping me from loving others the way I truly desired. It gave me tools to empathetically get into the pain of others and lead them to freedom in Jesus.

"I like to say that FCM is like DTS part 2...on steroids. It is a course that allows you to dive into your own heart, and shows you how to help others’ do the same. It’s a journey of learning how to identify your own emotions, and how to guide others to uncover their own feelings, needs, and desires.
