Students come to our program for so many different reasons. Some are on fire for their faith and they want to dig in and learn how to share it! We see those students take our ideas home and initiate outreach with their youth groups- it gives them a practical way to actually share the gospel. Some students come because they go on all the trips their youth group does- they believe in Jesus, but they might be unsure of what that means. We see those students challenged to take following Jesus to the next level- Jesus wants to use them to bring others into the kingdom! Then there are the students who just come because their mom made them, and they will let you know that. In Mission Adventures those students hear the gospel presented plainly, go through the motions of learning it, and then are encouraged to share it. It is those students that blow me away every time. Being in a group of people sharing the gospel naturally brings you to a fork in the road; do I actually believe what I am sharing? We have seen many of those students leave passionate about Jesus- even saying later on that Mission Adventures was a turning point for their lives.

In Mission Adventures we want to champion and support your ministry to your students and serve you! We love encouraging, teaching and ministering to them, but we know you are the one that goes home with them and walks along side them. Let us plan the events, organize the groups, do the teaching, make the snacks, and start the campfire so that you can have the conversations they are hungry for!

YWAM Salem is located just outside of Oregon’s capitol city and is the best of both worlds; A 15 minute drive into downtown for outreach, but far enough out that you can have the camp feeling. We have everything you need- dorms with comfy bunks, plenty of space to stretch out, and fun activities for down time like volleyball, basketball, ping pong, frisbee golf and a grove of oak trees perfect for hanging hammocks.

Our program is built for junior high through college aged groups. Typically this means ages range from 12-25. 

Absolutely! We have youth groups who return every year or rotate every other year. This gives students an opportunity to grow in what they learned and have time to experience it back in their home towns.

We notice students who have come multiple times grow in the skills they learned and push themselves out of their comfort even more. 

Students will rise and shine for breakfast and hit the ground running with activities. We have times of teaching, application, team building and free time.
